Code Entry Screen
Highlight the “Clubhouse” option at the main menu, then press Z + R + A. Note: This does not work in the PAL version of the game.
Nintendo Power Mario Cup
Enter “KPXWN9N3” as a code at the “Code Entry” screen to play a tournament at the Koopa Cup course. Note: Another password will be displayed after completing the tournament. The ten character password is not actually a password for the game, but is for a promotion in Nintendo Power magazine.
First Camp Hyrule Cup
Enter “0EQ561G2” as a code at the “Code Entry” screen to play a tournament at the Koopa Cup course with Donkey Kong.
Second Camp Hyrule Cup
Enter “5VW689O6” as a code at the “Code Entry” screen to play a tournament at the Toad Highlands course with Plum.
Mario Star Course
Collect at least 2200 course points after unlocking the five other courses in the game.
Play as Luigi
Successfully defeat Luigi in get character mode.
Play as Yoshi
Unlock Luigi, then successfully defeat Yoshi in get character mode.
Play as Sonny
Unlock Yoshi, then successfully defeat Sonny in get character mode.
Play as Wario
Unlock Sonny, then successfully defeat Wario in get character mode.
Play as Harry
Unlock Wario, then successfully defeat Harry in get character mode.
Play as Mario
Unlock Harry, then successfully defeat Mario in get character mode.
Play as Bowser
Unlock Mario, then successfully defeat Bowser in get character mode.
Play as Donkey Kong
Collect thirty stars in ring mode.
Play as Maple
Collect fifty birdie badges in tournament mode.
Play as Metal Mario
Collect all 108 birdie badges in tournament mode.
Play as Gold Mario
Unlock Metal Mario, then highlight him at the character selection screen, hold C-Left and press A.
Play as Last Four Characters
The last four characters on the bottom row at the character selection screen can only be unlocked by using the Game Boy Color Mario Golf game and the Game Boy Transfer Pak that allows data to be shared between the two games. The four characters are Joe, Kid, Sherry, and Azalea.
Alternate Costumes
At the character selection screen, hold C-Up, C-Left, C-Down, or C-Right while selecting a golfer.
Left-Handed Golfer
At the character selection screen, hold L or Z while selecting a golfer.
Computer Golfer in Multiplayer Mode
At the character selection screen, hold R while selecting a golfer.
Taunts
During an opponent’s turn, press C-Up, C-Left, C-Down, or C-Right to say distracting comments to them.
Complements
During an opponent’s turn, press Up, Left, Down, or Right on the D-Pad to say complements to them.
Replay Hole
Pause the game during your turn on the hole to be replayed. Select the “Save And Quit” option to save the game. Then, select the “Continue” option from the main menu to tee off from the same hole.
Cancel Swing
Immediately after pressing A to swing at the ball, press B to cancel the swing, allowing you to start your swing all over again.
Push the Ball
When the ball lands on the ground, repeatedly tap Z or A to move it a little bit further.
